These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sofinos website, applications and services (the “Service”). The Service is operated by Armologic Ltd, a company registered in United Kingdom under company number 15518194, whose registered office is at 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom (“Sofinos”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
Sofinos is a finance and tax management tool for self-employed people and small businesses in the United Kingdom and United States. It provides features such as transaction tracking, invoicing, tax estimates, a tax pot, cash-flow insights and reports. The Service is a software tool only.
All tax figures, tax pot amounts, forecasts and reports produced by the Service are estimates generated from the information available to it and are provided for general guidance only. They are not tax, accounting, legal or financial advice and must not be relied upon as such. You remain responsible for your own tax filings and for verifying figures with a qualified accountant or adviser. Tax rules change and may not be reflected immediately.
You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure and be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
Sofinos is offered on a free plan and paid plans (Pro and Premium) as described on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), which acts as the merchant of record for these purchases. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle’s buyer terms presented at checkout. Paddle calculates and collects any applicable VAT or sales tax.
Paid plans renew automatically each billing period (monthly or annually) until cancelled. Annual plans include a discount equivalent to two months. We may change prices with reasonable prior notice; changes apply from your next renewal. You can cancel at any time (see our refund and cancellation policy).
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access it unlawfully, disrupting it, reverse engineering it, using it to break the law, or uploading content you have no right to use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
The Service may connect to third parties such as bank data aggregators and payment providers. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
We and our licensors own all rights in the Service and its content. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own business. Your data remains yours.
We work to keep the Service available and accurate but provide it “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that estimates will match your final tax position.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or tax liabilities, penalties or interest arising from your reliance on estimates. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period.
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or where required by law. You can export your data before closing your account.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
